Intro

So just a to-the point intro: I am a freshman at the University of Washingotn. There is not much to be said about me except for that I am absolutely crazy about writing (explaining my username of Furioso, which is Italian for "the madness of").

Now, perhaps something more interesting. I play alto sax and piano (both classical and jazz). I recently wrote papers on Frederic Chopin's Polish background and about how mass media defined female identities in the literature of the 1920s.

I have taken a year of French, so not too fluent, but I would very much like to learn more soon.

Currently, the video games I am most fond of are: Mario Karts and SuperTux.

Some of the things you find me doing most often: gorging on dark chocolate, walking my pug, doing the crossword in the paper, playing chess, jogging to 80s music, or singing (horribly, that is). Surprisingly, I am not the kind of person who loves to sleep.

Now, as for my undying love for literature, I adore much too many things to list them all. But just off the top of my head: Emily Dickinson, Susan Glaspell, F. Scott Fitzgerald, John Dos Passos, John Keats, and William Carlos Williams.

Political-inclination wise, I view myself as a moderate liberal because I side with the whole movement about "Change", but I recognize that change is hard to achieve (so I avoid becoming as extreme as Abbie Hoffman once was).

That's all I can really think about saying about me right now. I'll update this whenever I have time/think of something else!

Look forward to seeing you around!

Cheers,

Furioso

P.S. If you would like me to suggest some books for you (based on genre), I can give you a list of great literary classics to devour.
